Oh man, it’s this scene… Malik knows he’s going to die, doesn’t think that anything can stop it now, and even believes that it’s what he deserves. But he couldn’t go without seeing Rishid and talking to him one last time because he’s the most important person to Malik and the one who has always stood by him no matter what. ;-;
And Malik doesn’t shy away from the monster he created either, doesn’t try to make excuses for it but accepts that it was his own feelings that were dark and hateful enough to create something like that. While he only talks about his guilt for killing his father, since that was obviously an event of monumental importance in his life and what set him on his path in the first place, I don’t doubt that he does feel guilty for the other people who he’s hurt since then as well. It would be nice to hear him say it, sure, but I think he’s well aware of everything he’s done and considers this fate his punishment for all of it.
